As part of the Time Machine series, this bass features an authentic Heavy Relic finish. The finish checking, realistic wear patterns, and the smooth, worn-in feel on the back of the neck perfectly capture the vibe and ergonomics of a well-traveled pre-CBS instrument.
 
The Upgrade & Sonic Character The original pickups have been upgraded to a set of premium, hand-wound Lindy Fralin Single Coils with a 5% Overwind. The 5% overwind adds a touch more output, giving the bass a punchier mid-range and a fatter, warmer low-end response compared to standard vintage wind. It tames any harsh top-end while retaining that classic, growling Jazz Bass articulation and dynamic sensitivity. Whether you lean into the neck pickup for a woody punch or bridge pickup for precision articulation, these Fralins elevate the instrument to another level.
Condition & Setup
 
The bass is in factory Heavy Relic condition, meaning all aesthetic wear, hardware patina, and aging are intentional from the Custom Shop.
The frets are in excellent shape with plenty of life left. The neck is straight, the truss rod functions perfectly, and the instrument has been professionally set up for optimal low action and flawless intonation.
Includes the original Custom Shop hardshell case and all factory case candies.
